Curative Care Network, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician in Milwaukee, WI. The role is temporary with a strong path to permanent, focusing on keeping the building safe, clean, and functional for clients and staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in facility maintenance; healthcare setting a plus.
  • Must be able to operate hand and power tools; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Repair and maintain equipment as authorized; inspect and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist with facility renovations, space reconfigurations, and energy monitoring.
  • Respond to emergencies and power outages; supervise safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and coordinate with vendors.

This position is temporary with the option to transition to permanent.

The role involves maintaining and repairing the facility's equipment, systems, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for clients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service in a healthcare setting. Assists in a variety of routine maintenance work including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and snow removal.

Essential Functions:
  • Facility Maintenance:
  • Assists with preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and structures.
  • Repair and maintain equipment as authorized and within qualifications.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and resolve facility and equipment issues promptly.
  • Perform snow removal as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, building codes, and healthcare regulations, including monitoring of security system cameras as needed.
  • Provide access badges to employees and tenants.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, addressing any hazards immediately and validating compliance with safety equipment (fire extinguishers, etc.)
  • Participate in safety drills and inspections as required.
  • Building Operations:
  • Assist with facility renovations, upgrades, and space reconfigurations.
  • Manage and monitor energy-efficient building systems.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including power outages, floods, and equipment failures.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service requests.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal staff to coordinate repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Assist with inventory management for tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Teamwork and Communication:
  • Work closely with the facility management team to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff and clients when responding to service requests.
  • Train and assist other maintenance team members as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in facility maintenance or a similar role; experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Must be able to operate all hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Capability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and outdoors.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and healthcare facility standards (e.g., JCAHO, NFPA).
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing are advantageous.
Work Environment:

This role operates in healthcare facilities where adherence to hygiene and infection control protocols are critical. Driving between business and retail locations to perform job duties and purchase items as needed.
Frequent exposure to high levels of noise, dust, dirt and foul odors. Seasonal exposure to unpleasant weather. Regular work hours and location scheduled by supervisor and will vary on occasion. Some overtime may be required.
