Job summary

KAD Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Tech in Milwaukee to troubleshoot and service production machinery, hydraulics, and CNC equipment. The role involves removing, rebuilding, and reinstalling hydraulic pumps and CNC spindles, plus diagnosing electrical issues and interpreting schematics.

Welding and electrical knowledge are desirable for cross-disciplinary work. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years as a maintenance mechanic, with comfort in hydraulic, electrical, and refrigeration aspects

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic.
• Welding knowledge and electrical skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Remove, rebuild and reinstall hydraulic pumps and cylinders.
• Knowledge of gears, bearings and bushing installation and removal.
• Knowledge of CNC controls (FANUC, Heidenhain, Siemens) to aid in repair.
• Remove/reinstall CNC machine spindles of various sizes and designs.
• Diagnose electrical failures in CNC equipment.
• Understand refrigeration relating to CNC machine chillers.
• Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Bend/install electrical conduit and solder copper piping.
• Remove/repair/reinstall various CNC machine way covers.
• Service rotary screw air compressors (oil and filter changes).
• Understand plastic injection molding equipment and related processes.
• Understand PM programs and related tasks.
