Job summary

Ag Processing Inc in Mason City, IA is seeking a self-motivated full-time Maintenance person to join our plant team. You will diagnose, repair and replace equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support safety and efficiency across operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 2 years in mechanical or related fields, and the ability to read equipment specifications. On-site role with periodic on-call status and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications.
• Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• On-call availability and able to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Repair and/or replace broken equipment after diagnosing issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Fabricate plant items from metal or wood using welding and cutting tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs.

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) currently has an opening for a self-motivated full time Maintenance person to join our team in Mason City, IA! This person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment after completing diagnosis and troubleshooting various issues.

Responsibilities

• Repair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of problem and determining what materials/parts are needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Fabricate new plant items out of metal or wood using welder's torches, band saws, presses, and other tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.
• Maintain plant sanitation standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
• Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications
• Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Able to be available for on-call status periodically (as needed)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
