Position Summary:

The Maintenance Assistant supports facility safety and operations by performing general repair and upkeep of the building, grounds, and equipment. This role assists in ensuring compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, and CMS requirements to provide a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Part Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal facility upkeep.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Support safety and fire drills, ensuring equipment and systems are functional.
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and completing facility set‑ups as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance areas and ensure tools are stored safely.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of maintenance, repairs, and safety protocols.

Required:

Physical & Work Requirements

• Exposure to noise, dust, and cleaning chemicals with PPE provided.
