Job summary

Meadowbrook Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable maintenance technician to join our team in a full-time role with a competitive benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry, and be capable of lifting and performing routine facility repairs. You will work under the maintenance director/supervisor to keep the building safe, clean, and functional.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks, including lifting and climbing.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work with maintenance leadership to follow directions.
• Maintain the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs across the facility.
• Care for and maintain tools and equipment.
• Make minor repairs to structures and equipment (handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, generators, alarms).
• Replace HVAC filters and assist with lifting, carrying, and stocking supplies.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Properly care for and maintain tools and equipment.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and fire extinguishers.
• Replace HVAC filters and assist with lifting, carrying, and stocking supplies.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
