Meadowbrook Rehabilitation is looking for a dependable, hardworking maintenance technician to join our team! This is a full-time position offering a competitive benefits package.
Position Summary
The maintenance technician is responsible for helping maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning facility. The ideal candidate will have advanced painting skills and basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with and follow the direction of the maintenance director/supervisor.
- Maintain the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs throughout the facility.
- Properly care for and maintain tools and equipment.
- Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and fire extinguishers.
- Replace HVAC filters and assist with lifting, carrying, and stocking supplies.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks, including lifting and climbing.
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with residents, families, coworkers, visitors, and the public.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors.
