Job summary

First Community Bancshares, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support the Irving Consolidated Facility.

You will perform daily building walkthroughs, repair and coordinate HVAC systems, and maintain bank infrastructure across centers. Responsibilities include contractor coordination on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and janitorial services; elevator maintenance; vendor liaison for files; and timely project updates to supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
• TDLR registration/license for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration strongly preferred or documented field experience.
• Must pass background check and have clean driving record.
• Proficiency in diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, brazing/soldering, air distribution, and reading schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily walk through of the Irving Consolidated Facility.
• Maintain HVAC certifications to coordinate and repair bank systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance in banking centers and support centers.
• Coordinate with contractors on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and janitorial services.
• Escort fire department and alarm monitoring personnel during inspections.
• Ensure bank elevators are properly maintained and inspected.
• Liaise with outside vendors for file pickup/retention.
• Update supervisor on projects and maintenance issues.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

* At least 18 years of age
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
* TDLR registration/license -- Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician or previous field experience under a licensed contractor
* Proficiency in diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, brazing/soldering, air distribution, and reading schematic wiring diagrams.
* Capability to use manifold gauges, recovery machines, multimeters, and vacuum pumps,
* Good communication skills (written and verbal)
* Have a current driver's license and clean driving record
* Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy
* Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment

Job Description

* Perform daily walk through of the Irving Consolidated Facility and grounds
* Maintain HVAC Certifications to be able to coordinate and repair HVAC systems that are the responsibility of the Bank
* Conduct routine maintenance as required in banking centers and support centers
* Meet with contractors to discuss the following (air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, janitorial services, landscaping, painters, etc.)
* Escort fire department and fire alarm monitoring personnel during inspections
* Ensure bank elevators are properly maintained and inspected
* Contact outside vendors for pickup and retention of bank files
* Update supervisor on all projects and maintenance issues
* Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
* Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
* May be required to climb ladders and/or perform work which requires bending low
* Frequent standing and walking
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
