Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Tech in Emmetsburg, IA. You will diagnose, repair, and replace equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure plant sanitation while complying with safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years mechanical experience, knowledge of PSM/NFPA/OSHA/EPA regulations, and ability to operate forklifts and support equipment. This is a hands-on, on-site role with outdoor conditions and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years in mechanical/construction or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Able to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace damaged equipment after diagnosing issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and record results.
• Fabricate plant items from metal or wood using welding and cutting tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain plant sanitation standards and safety practices.

This person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment after completing diagnosis and troubleshooting various issues.What You’ll Learn & DoRepair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of the problem and determining what materials/parts are needed.Perform preventative maintenance.Fabricate new plant items out of metal or wood using welder’s torches, band saws, presses, and other tools.Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.Maintain plant sanitation standards.Perform other duties as assigned.What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for individuals who:2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent.Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications.Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader.Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Minimum RequirementsAt least 18 years oldHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid driver’s licenseAbility to safely operate equipmentAbility to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screenWork EnvironmentThis is a hands-on industrial position.
