Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for basic maintenance and facility upkeep. Responsibilities include general maintenance, preventative maintenance, grounds keeping, and painting. This position also supports other facilities associates, projects, and activities based on organizational needs. The duties of this position may vary based on campus location, business needs, and/or seasonality of tasks performed.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • 90% maintenance general and preventive duties:
    • Plumbing: unclog drains and other duties with assistance
    • HVAC: replace AHU filters, clean coils; carpentry installing pictures, boards, ceiling tiles
    • Carpentry: doors, walls, ceilings for life safety compliance
    • Surface maintenance: cleaning, removal of trash from entrances, clearing storm drains, parking lots and lawns of debris
    • Snow and ice removal from OhioHealth properties
  • Painting responsibilities: material estimates, area preparation, application, and clean‑up
  • 10% equipment and facility inspection:
    • Coordinate/inspect projects, physical structures, and equipment to ensure quality standards, approved time frame, and compliance with city/state codes and JCAHO

Other duties as requested by supervisor. Safety, quality and efficiency focus required as a high reliability organization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School or GED (Required)
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping, painting and general maintenance
  • Operation of light equipment, trucks, tractors, mowers, etc.; use of power tools and other equipment such as paints, chemicals, and adhesives
  • 0‑2 years experience in landscape maintenance, paint, vinyl, tile applications, preferably in a commercial setting
  • Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment
