Job summary

Zep Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for site maintenance and repair of production equipment and facilities in our Chambersburg facility.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on packaging equipment and motors, troubleshoot issues, and keep accurate work records in our maintenance system. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, a forklift certification, a high school diploma or GED, and strong reading/writing and interpersonal skills to

• Forklift certification required.

• 2–3 years in maintenance, production, PLCs, or robotics in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to read, write and comprehend business documents.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and facilities promptly.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on packaging equipment and material transfer systems.
• Maintain maintenance records in the CMMS or equivalent system.
• Assist in minor design/operation of new/used equipment for operations improvement projects.

Preventive maintenance and repair of both manual and automated blending and packaging equipment for industrial chemical cleaning production.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, diagnose equipment problems, and complete appropriate repairs in a timely manner.Conduct PM's of all operating equipment, including production packaging, materials transfer facilities, and powered equipment (scissor lift, company vehicles), according to the maintenance connection task requirements.Minor design and operation of new/used equipment for operations improvement projects.Maintain accurate maintenance work records, utilizing the computer management systemChemical waste treatment disposalPerform duties specified by the Supervisor/Manager.Requirements:Forklift CertificationHigh School Diploma (G.E.D.) may include specialized vocational courses.Good communication and interpersonal skillsMust be a self-driven, motivated individual who can work with limited supervision.Perform duties with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.Able to read, write, and comprehend business documents such as operational manuals and work orders.2-3 years in maintenance experience and production, manufacturing, PLC's, Robotics or other business-related experience within a manufacturing environment.Our ValuesAt Zep, we have developed a set of values focused on bringing even greater cohesion to our workplace.
