Job summary

High Pointe Apartments in Birmingham, AL is seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances across the property. You will handle lighting, fixtures, and safety systems, with responsibility for common areas and outdoor spaces.

The role requires reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and willingness to participate in weekend rotation calls and on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to take weekend rotation calls and on-call emergencies.
• Experience in maintenance or fixture repair is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and maintain electrical and plumbing systems, including water lines.
• Repair HVAC components, appliances, irrigation, and related fixtures.
• Maintain stairs, fences, gates, patios, railings, tile, carpet and flooring.
• Service interior/exterior lights, fireplaces, ceiling fans, shutters and doors.
• Handle boiler, gas/electric systems, locks, and security devices.
• Ensure pool area upkeep and overall property maintenance.
• Provide support with moving appliances and keeping the property clean.

A Day In The Life Of Our Maintenance Technician Might Include Diagnosing And Maintaining/fixing Any Of The Following (in Addition To Helping With Moving Appliances And Keeping The Property Clean)

• Electrical and plumbing (including water lines). A/C and heating systems.
• Appliances (when applicable). Water irrigation systems.
• Stairs, gates, fences, patios, and railings. Tile, carpet, flooring.
• Interior/exterior lights. Fireplaces, ceiling fans.
• Gas fixtures and appliances (where applicable). Shutters, doors, cabinets, windows, sliding glass doors.
• Boiler, gas, and/or electric. Door locks, P.O. boxes, and locks.
• Security systems (where applicable). Ceiling leaks.
• Pool areas, tile, pool furniture.

Must have a Truck or Reliable transportation. Must Be able to take rotation weekend calls/and take on-call emergencies. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to provide proof of auto insurance coverage.
