Job summary

Audubon Maintenance is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems across residential and commercial properties. You will document work orders, coordinate with property managers, and assist external contractors while ensuring safety, code compliance, and tenant satisfaction.

Candidates should have proven maintenance experience and basic trades knowledge; HVAC/plumbing/electrical certifications

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role within the real estate or property management industry.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as changing filters and testing safety systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property managers, diagnosing problems and executing repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or large-scale maintenance projects.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in managing inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance operations.
• Support emergency maintenance efforts during off‑hours as needed to resolve urgent issues.
