Job description

$30.15/hr starting, with increases every 6 months up to a maximum of $37.25/hr within three years.

I. General Summary

Directs team members in assigned manufacturing areas, overseeing team leader responsibilities. Supports manufacturing operations and maintains the Toyota Production System, focusing on minimizing downtime, increasing productivity, and coordinating preventative maintenance. Assigns tasks to meet company goals and standards for safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, housekeeping, efficiency, training, teamwork, and morale.

II. Essential Job Functions
General
  • Function as a team leader, ensuring compliance with company policies and fostering positive team relations.
  • Provide direction and motivation emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, and morale.
Maintenance and Repair Operations
  • Develop and document standardized work procedures for equipment maintenance.
  • Assign work based on current production needs and schedules.
  • Ensure effective maintenance and repair activities, supporting continuous production.
Safety and Environment
  • Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and policies.
  • Participate in safety audits, accident investigations, and maintain knowledge of safety procedures.
Training and Communication
  • Train and coach team members on various skills, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate regularly with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
III. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant maintenance experience, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Toyota Production System preferred.
IV. Work Environment and Conditions

Manufacturing environment with PPE requirements. Minimal travel, including potential trips to Japan for training.

V. Physical Demands

Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various environmental conditions.
