Job summary

Lear Corporation, Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician-Team Leader to lead maintenance on automated production equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and improve mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems while coordinating maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable operations and strong team performance.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, startup support, training of team members, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance
• Experience in automotive high-volume production
• Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical/computer systems
• Proficiency with industrial automation languages
• High school diploma or GED
• Technical/Associate degree in Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Industrial maintenance, Electronics or related field
• Lockout/Tagout certifications
• Journeyman’s Card
• Demonstrated history of leading teams

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing systems
• Read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedules and standards
• Support production teams
• Assist startup, commissioning, and validation of equipment
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout
• Coordinate and prioritize work assignments
• Support training and development of team members
• Ensure safety standards and plant procedures are followed
• Partner with production leadership to align maintenance with operations
• Monitor quality and ensure completion meets standards
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and downtime reduction
• Assist in preventive and predictive maintenance planning
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting
