Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an Automation Technician in Auburn Hills, MI to diagnose, repair, and maintain automated material handling and robotics systems. You will work with ASRS cranes, AMRs, Cognex vision, and conveyors, applying electrical, mechanical, and controls expertise to keep high-throughput operations running safely.

The role emphasizes preventative and predictive maintenance, documentation in CMMS, and collaboration with the Operations team to meet site performance

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automated material handling systems (ASRS/AMRs) preferred.
• Mechanical maintenance of industrial machinery or automotive systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with CMMS for work orders and maintenance records.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on ASRS, AMRs, conveyors, and related controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
• Document work in CMMS and manage maintenance inventory.
• Read blueprints and OEM manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Support safety procedures and work with Operations teams.
