Job summary

McDonald’s in South Elgin, IL is seeking a Maintenance Person to keep our interior and exterior areas spotless and to maintain restaurant equipment. You will support the restaurant team, ensuring the first impression for customers is positive.

The role involves grounds upkeep, cleaning, restocking, unloading deliveries, waste removal, bulb changes, and HVAC checks. Safety and sanitation guidelines are followed to help us provide a clean, welcoming dining experience.

• Supports restaurant team in a variety of responsibilities as a key role.
• Complies with safety and sanitation guidelines while performing duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outside grounds to keep the restaurant looking great.
• Clean equipment, windows, stock rooms and restrooms.
• Unload deliveries twice a week and rotate stock.
• Take out trash and recycling; change light bulbs.
• Inspect HVAC/exhaust units and roof for debris.

Maintenance Pay rates: $18.00 - $19/hour

(depending on your experience, skill level and availability)

Requirements:

• The Maintenance Person assists management in achieving and maintaining outstanding interior and exterior restaurant cleanliness and maintaining restaurant equipment. As a member of the Maintenance Team, your restaurant will depend on you to make our customers first impression a great one! Our Arches will shine brightly because of you.

• You will also play a vital role in supporting the restaurant team in a variety of responsibilities - it is one of the most important roles in a restaurant.

The Maintenance Person’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining outside grounds - making our restaurants look amazing
• Clean equipment, inside and outside windows, stock rooms and restrooms
• Unload delivery truck 2 times a week, keep everything rotated properly
• Take out and empty trash and recycling
• Change light bulbs
• Clean HVAC/Exhaust units and roof of debris
