Job summary

CYM Living in Fort Wayne, IN, seeks a diligent Maintenance Technician to support residential property upkeep across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs. You will help ensure safe, reliable operations and high resident satisfaction.

We value honesty, self-direction, and organization. The role requires on-call coverage after hours, weekends and holidays, with strong communication and vendor coordination to address issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
• Excellent customer service skills a must
• Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field
• On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays
• Skilled in routine apartment maintenance, as well as handling administrative tasks and paperwork related to vendors/contractors
• Ability to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner

Responsibilities

• Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, lock & keys responsibilities
• Basic carpentry and painting/drywall repair duties
• Janitorial, groundskeeping and snow removal tasks
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for repairs and services
• Prioritize and triage maintenance requests for residents
• Ensure safety and compliance across properties
• Communicate clearly with residents and team members
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
