Job summary

The Post Oak in Biloxi, MS seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a shift of facilities maintenance and groundskeeping. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, manage inventory, and coordinate inspections with the Director of Maintenance. Flexibility to work nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ experience in the maintenance of a large facility or plant operations.
• 4-year Degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class D driver license.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to deliver guest-focused service and maintain professional appearance.
• Commitment to going above and beyond in job responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises processes and programs to control and reduce loss time injuries; ensures safety and security of employees and customers.
• Controls staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment; supervises staff and delegates duties.
• Develops staff, interviews, hires, and evaluates.
• Reviews and maintains department inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Communicates maintenance task activities with Director of Maintenance.
• Supervises and coordinates timely completion of property and safety inspection reports; ensures OSHA compliance and ADA building codes.
• Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities and equipment on property including grounds.
• Meets with departmental managers and supervisors as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the successful operations of a shift of Facilities Maintenance and Groundskeepers.

Responsibilities

• Supervises processes and programs to effectively control and reduce loss time injuries. Ensures the safety and security of employees and customers.


• Controls staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment. Supervises staff members and delegate duties.


• Development of staff, interviews, hires, and evaluates.


• Reviews and Maintain departments inventory of maintenance supplies.


• Communicates all maintenance task activities accomplished and assigned with Director of Maintenance.


• Supervises and coordinates timely completion of property and safety inspections reports, applicable OSHA Compliance, EAP Regulations and ADA building codes.


• Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities and equipment on property including grounds.


• Meet with departmental Managers and Supervisors as necessary.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ experience in the maintenance of a large working facility or plant operations with a 4-year Degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.


• Valid Class D driver license.


• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.


• Ability to deliver at a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.
