Job summary

Peabody Properties is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Service Manager) for an apartment community in Sharon, MA. You will oversee maintenance operations, evaluate needs, and ensure prompt, high-quality service for residents.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, painting, janitorial and grounds work, plus coordinating vendors and paperwork. On-call coverage after hours, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 5 years in facilities maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service abilities.
• On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays.
• Experience coordinating vendors/contractors and handling paperwork.
• Ability to respond promptly to maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and address a broad range of maintenance needs to ensure efficient operation.
• Perform and oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, locks & keys, carpentry, painting and drywall repair.
• Provide janitorial, groundskeeping and snow removal as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors and handle related paperwork.
• Respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner.

Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Service Manager) to join it's property management team at an apartment community in Sharon, MA.

The Supervisors role requires effective and careful evaluation in response to a broad range of maintenance needs to assist and optimize the efficient operation of this apartment community.The right candidate will be someone who is honest, self-directed, organized, able to multi-task, and who works well with people, both co-workers and residents.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Appliance Repair
• Locks & Keys
• Basic Carpentry
• Painting and Drywall Repair
• Janitorial, Grounds and Snow Removal

Requirements of the Position:

• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal;
• Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter;
• Excellent customer service skills a must.
• Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field;
• On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays;
• Skilled in routine apartment maintenance, as well as handling administrative tasks and paperwork related to vendors/contractors;
• Ability to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner.

Education And Experience

• Requires High School Diploma or GED, as well as a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field with a minimum of 5 year’s related job and supervisory experience with basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and overseeing capital improvement projects.

Compensation and Benefits:
