Job summary

Fairfield Residential is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Nell at 555 Apartments in Herndon, VA. You will lead a team responsible for keeping the community safe, attractive, and fully operational while balancing resident satisfaction and property preservation.

On-site opportunities include a 100% apartment allowance for living on-site, with a focus on preventative maintenance, safety, and efficient service delivery to residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal certification is required.
• CPO certification strongly preferred; must obtain within 90 days if not held.
• 3+ years of hands-on apartment or building maintenance experience; supervisory experience required.
• Experience with Yardi or other property management software.
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• English communication skills required; a valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance repairs across the property.
• Schedule and monitor preventative maintenance programs.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Manage service requests using Yardi or similar software.
• Maintain budgets and inventory for maintenance supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
• Lead and develop a diverse maintenance team.
• Provide feedback and coaching for performance improvement.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to residents.
