Job summary

Nucor Data Systems is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead safety, reliability, and cost-management efforts in a manufacturing setting. You will develop reliability-based maintenance programs to maximize uptime and optimize plant operations.

Safety leadership is required; you will initiate, uphold, and enforce safety policies while mentoring staff. Strong experience in preventive maintenance and team leadership is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a maintenance lead or similar role within manufacturing.
• Strong technical knowledge of facility systems, equipment maintenance, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and lead teams to achieve operational goals.
• Experience implementing and managing maintenance systems and programs to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Leadership experience with accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and extensive preventive maintenance and repair of all equipment with manuals and specs.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate downtime by informing production and monitoring compliance.
• Locate problems by observing equipment and using precision tools.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies and renew as needed.
• Communicate with Production Supervisors and teammates; assign tasks to maintenance staff.
• Schedule regular maintenance tasks and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Mentor and train less experienced employees; support the team as needed.
