Job summary

Chance Aluminum, a leading aluminum coil producer based in Williamsport, PA, seeks an Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations, improve equipment reliability, and support production goals.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in electrical engineering, has 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, and demonstrates strong leadership and technical acumen in PLCs and industrial controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, industrial controls, and mechanical equipment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
Proven track record in developing and implementing maintenance programs and strategies.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and protocols to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Identify and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
Assist in developing and managing the maintenance department budget, including cost control measures and expenditure tracking.
Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
Collaborate with other departments, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to achieve overall business objectives.
