Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Shift Supervisor in Clarksburg, WV. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, PLC and VFD troubleshooting, electrical and mechanical repairs, and production support.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of electro-mechanical experience in an industrial setting, strong LOTO knowledge, and the ability to read schematics. This is a full‑time opportunity with a Monday‑Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electro-mechanical experience in an industrial maintenance setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of LOTO procedures and industrial safety practices.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with PLC and VFD troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical components.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
• Experience with rigging, machine rebuilds, equipment assembly, and disassembly.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Support production through proactive plant maintenance and preventive maintenance to improve equipment uptime and machine reliability.
• Respond quickly to production equipment issues and communicate clearly with production teams.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and workplace safety procedures.
• Plan, lay out, install, repair, and maintain complex industrial equipment.
• Work with automatic controls, motors, rollers, gear reducers, mandrels, switchboards, and other electrical and mechanical components.
• Diagnose and repair electronic circuits, relays, resistors, capacitors, switches, transformers, motor starters, and fuses.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs.
• Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks accurately and on time.
• Install, disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild industrial machinery and components.
• Perform rigging, machine assembly, disassembly, and equipment rebuilds as needed.
• Work safely around heavy industrial equipment, including cranes, forklifts, presses, and furnaces.
• Perform work in confined spaces and challenging industrial environments as required.
• Minimize equipment downtime and repeat repairs by focusing on quality workmanship.
• Follow company safety, quality management, and maintenance requirements.
• Assist with additional industrial maintenance and supervisory duties as assigned.
