Job summary

CRH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and repair of equipment and machinery as directed by the Plant Manager. The role requires strong electrical and PLC skills, and the ability to lead maintenance activities for hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical or vocational certification or training
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals
• Mechanical aptitude and tool-use skills
• Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry or related fields
• Willingness to work in dusty, hot/cold conditions

Responsibilities

• Assist and direct maintenance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose malfunctions in equipment and machinery.
• Inspect production equipment daily.
• Test malfunctioning machinery and assign repairs.
• Use hand and power tools to repair and maintain equipment.
• Weld and cut as required.
• Perform general plant repairs and lubrication.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed.
