Job summary

Arxada, a global leader in innovative chemistry and biotech solutions, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor in Modesto, CA. You will lead maintenance staff, drive preventative maintenance, and partner with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and optimize plant reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you will champion safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while guiding a culture of accountability across the site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• 5 years of industrial maintenance leadership experience.
• 3 years industrial electrical systems, OSHA requirements, automation technologies, PLC programming, and process controls.
• Experience implementing preventative maintenance strategies and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD documentation.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team development skills.
• SQF certification and forklift certification, or ability to obtain and maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure plant equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently while meeting production and quality requirements.
• Prioritize and manage maintenance work orders, establish work standards, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs for critical manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and site leadership teams to minimize downtime and drive operational excellence.
• Support capital projects through planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring strong communication and stakeholder alignment.
• Champion safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, including adherence to OSHA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards.
• Coach and develop maintenance team members while fostering a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
