Job summary

Valeo North America in Reno, NV is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the day shift (Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm). You will lead maintenance activities, train technicians, ensure safety rules, and drive KPI targets across a high-speed automated facility.

You will induct newcomers, organize training, manage daily attendance and safety compliance, and conduct annual appraisals and salary reviews as part of a best-in-class compensation package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Maintenance Supervision for a high-speed manufacturing company.
• Experience as a Maintenance Technician in a high-speed automated facility.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience considered in lieu.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules for maintenance activities are known and applied by the team.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed meeting KPI targets for the perimeter.
• Train and mentor Mechanical and Electrical Technicians in automated equipment repair.
• Prepare scheduled maintenance tasks and communicate with the Maintenance team.
• Induct all newcomers and organize training actions on procedures, tools and standards.
• Manage daily: absenteeism, holidays, safety rule enforcement and KPIs.
• Follow up objectives in monthly team meetings and conduct appraisals and salary reviews.
• Enforce health, safety, environmental and site rules within the perimeter.

The position is for the day shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

What You Will Do

• Ensure that safety rules for maintenance activities (such as LOTO procedure) are known and applied by its team
• Ensure maintenance tasks are done, respecting Maintenance KPIs targets in its perimeter
• Train and mentor Mechanical Technicians and Electrical Technicians in automated equipment repair
• Prepare the scheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring communication to the Maintenance team
• Be responsible for induction of all newcomers in their areas
• Ensure the organization and scheduling of training actions so that they are aware of all the procedures, tools and standards
• Ensure that their team is trained to Line QRQC, Maintenance QRQC, Maintenance 5 WHYs, red tags use, and that they understand what they have to do and when
• Manage daily: absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Ensure that standards of reaction are applied with rigor and perform escalation according to standards
• Follow up main objectives in monthly meetings with his/her team
• Conduct annual appraisals, as well as salary reviews
• Ensure enforcement of health, safety, environmental and site rules in its perimeter, and that anybody entering
• Ensure existence of updated maintenance work instructions for his/her perimeter

What You Should Have

You preferably have a Bachelor's degree, but experience in lieu of education will be considered. You have 3+ years of experience in Maintenance Supervision for a high-speed manufacturing company. Prior or current experience as a Maintenance Technician in a high-speed automated facility.
