Job summary

Valeo North America Inc. seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a high-speed maintenance team. This full-time role includes supervising safety, planning tasks, and mentoring technicians.

The position is part of a permanent program with a strong focus on KPI targets and continuous improvement in automated equipment maintenance. The candidate will supervise scheduling, training, and adherence to LOTO and QRQC standards while conducting annual performance reviews and enforcing site rules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Maintenance Supervision for a high-speed manufacturing company.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Proven ability to train and mentor technicians in automated equipment repair and maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules and LOTO procedures are known and applied by the team.
• Manage maintenance tasks to meet KPIs and perimeters.
• Train and mentor Mechanical and Electrical Technicians in automated equipment repair.
• Schedule and communicate maintenance tasks; induct new hires and oversee training.
• Conduct annual appraisals and salary reviews; enforce health, safety, environmental and site rules.

The position is: Wednesday 1AM - 7AM, Thursday - Saturday 7PM - 7AM.

What You Will Do

• Ensure that safety rules for maintenance activities (such as LOTO procedure) are known and applied by its team
• Ensure maintenance tasks are done, respecting Maintenance KPIs targets in its perimeter
• Train and mentor Mechanical Technicians and Electrical Technicians in automated equipment repair
• Prepare the scheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring communication to the Maintenance team
• Be responsible for induction of all newcomers in their areas
• Ensure the organization and scheduling of training actions so that they are aware of all the procedures, tools and standards
• Ensure that their team is trained to Line QRQC, Maintenance QRQC, Maintenance 5 WHYs, red tags use, and that they understand what they have to do and when
• Manage daily: absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Ensure that standards of reaction are applied with rigor and perform escalation according to standards
• Follow up main objectives in monthly meetings with his/her team
• Conduct annual appraisals, as well as salary reviews
• Ensure enforcement of health, safety, environmental and site rules in its perimeter, and that anybody entering
• Ensure existence of updated maintenance work instructions for his/her perimeter

What You Should Have

• You preferably have a Bachelor’s degree, but experience in lieu of education will be considered
• You have 3+ years of experience in Maintenance Supervision for a high-speed manufacturing company
• Prior or current experience as a Maintenance Technician in a high-speed automated facility
