Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of Mechanical and Electrical Technicians on high-speed automated equipment. You will oversee safety compliance, schedule maintenance tasks, and drive KPI performance while mentoring staff and ensuring training on QRQC and related standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience may substitute.
• 3+ years of experience in Maintenance Supervision for a high-speed manufacturing company.
• Prior or current experience as a Maintenance Technician in a high-speed automated facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules for maintenance activities (LOTO) are known and applied by the team.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed, meeting KPIs.
• Train and mentor Mechanical and Electrical Technicians in automated equipment repair.
• Prepare scheduled maintenance tasks and communicate them to the Maintenance team.
• Induct all newcomers in their areas.
• Schedule and communicate training actions so staff understand procedures, tools and standards.
• Ensure team is trained in Line QRQC, Maintenance QRQC, Maintenance 5 WHYs, red tags usage.
• Manage daily: absenteeism, holidays, safety enforcement, environmental risk analysis, KPIs.
• Apply standards of reaction with rigor and escalate per standards.
• Follow up on main objectives in monthly team meetings.
• Conduct annual appraisals and salary reviews.
• Enforce health, safety, environmental and site rules.
• Maintain updated maintenance work instructions for their perimeter.

The position is: Wednesday 1AM - 7AM, Thursday - Saturday 7PM - 7AM.

What You Will Do

• Ensure that safety rules for maintenance activities (such as LOTO procedure) are known and applied by its team
• Ensure maintenance tasks are done, respecting Maintenance KPIs targets in its perimeter
• Train and mentor Mechanical Technicians and Electrical Technicians in automated equipment repair
• Prepare the scheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring communication to the Maintenance team
• Be responsible for induction of all newcomers in their areas
• Ensure the organization and scheduling of training actions so that they are aware of all the procedures, tools and standards
• Ensure that their team is trained to Line QRQC, Maintenance QRQC, Maintenance 5 WHYs, red tags use, and that they understand what they have to do and when
• Manage daily: absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Ensure that standards of reaction are applied with rigor and perform escalation according to standards
• Follow up main objectives in monthly meetings with his/her team
• Conduct annual appraisals, as well as salary reviews
• Ensure enforcement of health, safety, environmental and site rules in its perimeter, and that anybody entering
• Ensure existence of updated maintenance work instructions for his/her perimeter

What You Should Have

• You preferably have a Bachelor’s degree, but experience in lieu of education will be considered
• You have 3+ years of experience in Maintenance Supervision for a high-speed manufacturing company
• Prior or current experience as a Maintenance Technician in a high-speed automated facility
