Job summary

HP Hood LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations and upkeep of plant equipment and facilities, planning projects and addressing safety issues within and around the facility.

You will lead a team, coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager, ensure equipment performance, support SQF standards, and drive cost improvements while fostering a safe, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in maintenance within a plant/manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with PLCs and ammonia refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day activities of a team of direct reports and communicates with Maintenance/Plant Manager.
• Maintains equipment and resolves malfunctions to improve productivity and equipment capability.
• Establishes a positive work environment including personal development, training and safety.
• Analyzes work orders and assigns tasks, following up until completion.
• Plans and executes projects in coordination with management.
• Controls inventories, parts ordering, and vendor communications to improve operations and costs.
• Supports SQF by maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
• Serves as backup to leadership within Maintenance and provides technical guidance.
• Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor will manage the everyday operation and upkeep of the equipment and building, planning and implementing projects and safety issues within and around the plant.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Manages day- to-day activities of a team of direct reports and communicates daily with Maintenance Manager and/or Plant Manager.
• Supports operational departments by maintaining equipment and resolves mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity, job capabilities, and equipment capabilities at the department’s request.
• Establishes and maintains a positive work environment including but not limited to personal development, training, and safety.
• Analyzes maintenance work orders and assigns maintenance personnel to complete all necessary orders. Follows up with the assigned personnel as needed until the order is complete.
• Plan and execute projects in conjunction with what is assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Plant Manager.
• Controlling inventories, parts ordering, and vendor communication. Focus on improving operations and improving costs.
• Assists in the scheduling of maintenance team to ensure projects are completed.
• Supports SQF (Safe Quality Foods) by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
• Serves as backup to those employees in the leadership role within the Maintenance department, and gives technical support and guidance to maintenance personnel as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Education And Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a plant or manufacturing industry. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience required.
• Industry background in Food or Beverage preferred.
• Demonstrated experience within mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience within PLC’s and Ammonia Refrigeration preferred
• Demonstrated experience within mechanical and electrical systems.

Physical Requirements

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

The pay range for this position is

$88,400 - $103,900 USD
