Responsibilities:

Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities include but are not limited to:

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Supervisor position will be a Maintenance Management position that, once fully trained, is capable of successfully managing maintenance personnel to cover every production department.

1. Lead and further develop a safety culture throughout the plant
2. Provide on the job training to all new mechanics
3. Supervise and provide help with any questions to all new hires and existing employees
4. Responsible for training any transferred employees within the maintenance department
5. Responsible for performance evaluations of all mechanics every 60 days
6. Responsible for all PPE assignments and usage
7. Communicate professionally with all levels of Management
8. Other duties as assigned

The Maintenance Supervisor position will be responsible for supervising all maintenance employees in all aspects of the tannery.

The schedule for this position depends on the crew assignment.

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications:

Qualified Candidates for the Maintenance Supervisor position should possess the following:

1. Education: At minimum, high school diploma. At least 4 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance.
2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
3. Experience of all mechanics positions
4. Basic math skills
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
6. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
7. Strong safety and performance record
8. Solid leadership/people skills
9. Basic pump experience- pneumatic, hydraulic and electric
10. Basic bearing and seal removal and installation experience
11. Oxygen acetylene torch certified or equivalent
12. MIG and stick welding certified or equivalent
13. Three years’ experience in industrial maintenance setting
14. Able to climb ladders, stay on feet for at least one hour at a time, able to climb steps, able to lift up to 50 pounds

A computer based Personality Profile Assessment will be given.
