Summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join the Rockingham, NC team. This role supervises staff and plans/implements all maintenance activities in the plant to maximize production while adhering to standard safe practices and procedures. The Maintenance Supervisor also maintains systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts. Principal And Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensures all plant and equipment are in top operating conditions and are available for production as needed.
• Organizes and plans regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant.
• Reviews preventative procedures, evaluates and maximizes maintenance procedures collaborating with other Operation departments, identifying problems and requirements.
• Supervises the activities of maintenance associates to ensure compliance with safety procedures, minimizing injury risks, environmental, and asset damage.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal codes and regulations.
• Selects, orients, trains, assigns, schedules, coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff.
• Evaluates the functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment, and implements improvements.

Minimum Education

• BS degree in Engineering or related discipline, or technical education equivalent.

Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years related experience.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Technical knowledge of production, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to coordinate multiple projects.

Environmental Factors And Physical Requirements

Plant Environment Exposure

• Wet and moist floors, metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• Temperatures from 28°F to 100°F, with humidity.
• Handling product at 25°F to 50°F.
• Noise levels from 50 dB to 110 dB.
• Exposure to chemicals used in poultry and food processing.
• Must wear protective safety equipment as directed.
