Job summary

Greenbrier Management Company in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks at our apartment community in Lynchburg, VA. The role requires at least 3 years in apartment maintenance, universal HVAC certification, a valid driver’s license, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude to ensure safety and curb appeal.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in apartment maintenance including basic electrical & plumbing diagnostics/repair
• Be a team player in an atmosphere of mutual respect
• Have a positive attitude and enjoy helping people
• HVAC universal certification required
• Have basic tools for the trade
• Provide a valid driver license and reliable transportation
• Flexible to respond to off-hour emergencies and resident concerns

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance functions for the apartment community and ensure prompt, proper work
• Coordinate with the Property Manager and vendors; obtain bids when needed
• Respond to on-call emergencies in a timely manner
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and features daily to identify maintenance tasks
• Ensure safety by using appropriate tools and safety equipment
• Monitor contractors and ensure timely, proper completion of work
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, fair housing, pool and safety standards
