Detroit Salt Company is seeking a maintenance supervisor to organize and lead mechanical maintenance across surface and underground mining equipment. You will direct field and shop repairs, manage spare parts, and ensure safety compliance with all policies.

The role also involves mentoring the in-house team and coordinating major repairs and technical projects. The ideal candidate has several years of maintenance supervision experience in an industrial setting, reads blueprints, and can diagnose

Qualifications

• 3+ years maintenance with surface and underground mining equipment and mill components including conveyors, crushers, screens, and storage bins.
• 2+ years of maintenance supervisor experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
• The ability to utilize diagnostic techniques and equipment to effectively troubleshoot and solve electrical problems.
• High school/equivalency or greater; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Organize, plan, and lead maintenance activities relating to mechanical maintenance.
• Manage equipment repair and PMs; establish priorities and direct field and shop repairs.
• Assist in major repairs and technical projects.
• Requisition and maintain supply of spare parts.
• Ensure safety compliance with DSC policies and procedures.
• Train employees on safety and maintenance rules and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Coach and mentor in-house mechanical team members.
• Evaluate employee performance and assist with corrective action.
• Implement safety programs and adhere to EHS and MSHA policies.
• Promote positive two-way communication and fair policy administration.
• Comply with all division and facility policies.
