Job summary

House of Raeford is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at our West Columbia, SC facility. The role covers overseeing maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety, USDA, HACCP, and GMPs, and maintaining sanitary operating conditions.

If you can lead, train, manage weekend PMs, and coordinate with the Safety Manager and QA, you\'ll help keep production running smoothly while meeting Animal Welfare guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills (written and oral).

• Able to lift and climb.

Responsibilities

• Obey all SAFETY, USDA, HACCP, and plant rules.
• Ensure all department employees are present.
• Ensure employees follow safety rules and GMPs.
• Follow up on previous shift issues.
• Review start/stop times for payroll.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas.
• Coordinate with maintenance for new hire training.
• Train employees per area schedule and conduct meetings.
• Maintain department operations.
• Supervise weekend PM.
• Inspect received supplies.
• Operate within SOPs.
• Assist and maintain the PSM program.
• Premises kept structurally sound.
• Ensure equipment meets Animal Welfare guidelines.
• Maintain equipment to prevent contamination.
• Perform duties as assigned by management.

All employees are responsible for Food Safety, Quality, and Personal Safety. Food safety and quality issues or potential issues must be reported to the QA Supervisor or QA Manager. Plant safety issues should report to the Safety Manager. It is important to remember to carry out all job assignments as assigned.

• Must obey all SAFETY, USDA, HACCP, & PLANT rules and regulations.
• Ensure all department employees are present.
• Ensure employees follow plant rules, safety rules, and GMPs.
• Follow up on previous shift’s issues.
• Review start/stop times for accounting/payroll.
• Ensure work areas are clean and are operating in a sanitary manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance technicians for ongoing new hire training.
• Training employees according to your area schedule and conduct meetings.
• Maintain department running.
• Supervise the PM on the weekend.
• Inspect received supplies.
• Operate within standard operating procedures.
• Assist and maintain the PSM program as assigned.
• Premises are maintained structurally sound.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and operating at proper parameters to maintain and meet Animal Welfare guidelines.
• Equipment is maintained in a condition to support sanitary operating conditions and prevent foreign material contamination.
• Perform any duties required by management.

Reporting Relationships: Maintenance Manager

You will be trained through:

1. Orientation program conducted by Human Resources.
2. On-the-job by supervisor or their designee.
3. Safety briefs from the safety department.
4. Ongoing and/or annual training to meet specific needs from your supervisor including GMPs/Personal Hygiene, Allergen Management, and Food Defense

Schedule:

Sunday- Thursday

1:00 pm - 9:30pm

Could change shift later down the road

Employees are scheduled to work two Saturdays within every six-week period.
