Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Mountain View, CA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead plant upkeep, implement PM schedules, and coordinate CMMS-driven work orders. You will monitor safety, train staff, and drive improvements across shifts to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma, PLC familiarity, and experience in automated maintenance. Weekend and 2nd shift availability are required, with hands-on leadership in a fast-paced facility.

Responsibilities

• Meets with appropriate departments involved with weekly production schedules.
• Generates maintenance shift schedule based on team meetings, line inspections, PM requirements, work orders, and available resources.
• Manages contractor work as required and as assigned.
• Maintains detailed records of completed repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections.
• Assesses, trains, mentors, and motivates direct reports, providing training and development.
• Communicates performance standards and expectations to employees, recognizing and rewarding performance.
• Coordinatest, monitors and utilizes the CMMS.
• Performs root cause analysis of machine downtime and recommends changes.
• Utilizes KPIs to assess progress against objectives.
• Conducts PM and work order audits.
• Trains subordinates as needed in CMMS.
• Coordinates major maintenance and capital projects across shifts.
• Maintains plant facilities and grounds according to regulations and standards.
• Assists in developing policies related to maintenance and safety.
• Keeps abreast of latest manufacturing technologies to improve performance.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Maintains clean work area and reports contamination/suspicious activity.

Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.QualificationsA high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.Ability to read instructions, maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant.Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions to complete machine rebuilds and repairs.
