Job summary

Arconic Lafayette is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team at the Lafayette, IN plant, overseeing preventive maintenance, repairs, and reliability initiatives.

You will supervise technicians, monitor equipment, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and collaborate with production and engineering to minimize downtime while maintaining accurate records and training a high-performing crew.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/industrial maintenance setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience using maintenance databases such as CMMS or similar planning tools.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Employees must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Position may require access to controlled technology under export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance technicians to ensure timely and effective completion of work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and support operational goals.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, shift reports, and equipment history.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build a high-performing maintenance crew.
• Participate in root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for equipment and supplies.
