Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance shop, lead technicians, and guarantee timely repairs and upkeeps for daily operations. You will drive safety, coach staff, and coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to optimize equipment uptime.

The role requires strong mechanical knowledge and leadership experience, with a focus on preventive maintenance and compliance with all policies and regulations. A CDL is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education with leadership experience.
• 3–5 years in fleet maintenance or similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise maintenance work and repairs.
• Review repair requests and prepare work order documents.
• Coach, train, and evaluate maintenance staff; handle disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues and managers.
• Assist Maintenance Manager to maximize equipment uptime.
• Develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance program.
