Job summary

The successful candidate will have experience in machine repair, preventative maintenance, and staff development.

Qualifications

Post-high school education is required.
3–5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance; 1–3 years in supervising people.
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, control technology, and welding.
Knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures knowledge.
Knowledge of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools.
Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Assists in interviews and hiring processes.
Orientates and trains maintenance personnel.
Coaches, counsels employees, and initiates discipline as required.
Evaluates the performance of subordinates.
Develops and implements preventative and other maintenance programs to ensure proper equipment operation.
Identifies, researches, and resolves problems.
Coordinates maintenance activities with the operating department's requirements.
Leads employees in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
Performs regular/preventative maintenance on all machinery, tools, and buildings.
Develops, implements, and supervises the plant's Preventive Maintenance program.
Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings, and other Company assets in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturing specifications, or by management request.
Orders supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and rates.
Maintains records of repair/maintenance activities, per Company policy.
Prepares other reports as required.
Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures.
