Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance department, coordinate support services, and develop staff.

You will implement preventative maintenance programs, oversee equipment repairs, and drive continuous improvement and safety initiatives across facilities. Minimum 3–5 years in machine repair or maintenance and prior people management are required, with strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.

Qualifications

Post-high school education required.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance.
1 to 3 years of experience managing people.
Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding.
Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous wage and hazardous material handling procedures and practices.
Working knowledge of the use of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software.

Responsibilities

Supervise maintenance department operations and staff.
Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance for equipment and facilities.
Assist in interviews and training of maintenance personnel.
Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching.
Identify and resolve maintenance-related problems efficiently.
Support safety initiatives and enforce safety rules.
Maintain records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Order parts and supplies, and manage vendor relations.
Prepare reports as required and ensure compliance with company policies.
