Job summary

Granbury Care Center is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team ensuring a safe, functional, and compliant healthcare facility. You will oversee preventive maintenance, equipment upkeep, and coordination with external contractors while managing budgets and staffing aligned with census needs.

The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of HVAC, boilers, and water systems, and a commitment to safety and regulatory standards within a long‑term care setting.

Qualifications

• Facility maintenance experience, healthcare or long‑term care preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC, boiler, water, and emergency systems.
• Ability to implement and manage a preventive maintenance program.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage supply ordering and departmental budgeting.
• HVAC experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Operations: hire, train, and supervise maintenance team.
• Promote Safety & Compliance: conduct fire system inspections and coordinate monthly drills.
• Oversee Preventive Maintenance: develop and implement preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain Equipment: inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.
• Manage Supplies & Budget: order maintenance supplies and equipment within budget guidelines.
• Supervise Contractors: oversee and coordinate work by external contractors.
• Maintain Standards: ensure safety, operation and regulatory compliance of facility and equipment.
• Train Staff: provide job-specific training and promote safety adherence.
• Coordinate Schedules: plan staffing according to census needs and labor budgets.
