You will oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate with contractors, manage budgets, and ensure HVAC, boilers, and water systems operate reliably, while training staff and promoting safety.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining healthcare facilities or long-term care environments.
• Knowledge of HVAC, boilers, water systems, and emergency systems.
• Ability to develop and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage supply orders and departmental budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations: hire, train, and supervise maintenance team members.
• Promote safety and compliance: conduct and document fire system inspections and coordinate monthly fire drills.
• Oversee preventive maintenance: develop and implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain equipment: inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.
• Manage supplies and budget: order maintenance supplies and equipment within budget guidelines.
• Supervise contractors: oversee and coordinate work by external contractors.
• Maintain standards: ensure facility and equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with regulations.
• Train staff: provide job-specific training and promote safety procedures.
• Coordinate schedules: plan staffing according to census needs and labor budgets.
