Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for an on-site role in the Phoenix, AZ area. You will lead a skilled maintenance team, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment, and drive preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and safety.

The role emphasizes strong mechanical and electrical expertise, CMMS fluency, and collaboration with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

5+ years industrial maintenance in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
2+ years supervisory experience leading maintenance teams.
Associate degree or technical certification in related field.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience with CMMS and MS Office.
Welding/fabrication knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervises and mentors maintenance technicians to ensure reliable daily operations.
Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains plant equipment.
Develops preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Enforces safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Responds to equipment failures and coordinates emergency repairs.
Monitors spare parts inventory and procurement.
Identifies and implements process improvements.
Maintains records of maintenance activities and regulatory compliance.
Collaborates with production, engineering, and quality teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
Promotes safety culture and healthy work practices.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
