This role leads a team of technicians to ensure reliable equipment and continuous production, with emphasis on safety and cost control. You will coordinate projects, interact with engineering and quality teams, and implement efficiency improvements while maintaining compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures scheduled repairs, maintenance, and installation activities are completed on-time to maintain production.
• Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines and tools.
• Directs maintenance on utility systems to provide continuous power and utilities.
• Implements preventative maintenance programs with engineering staff.
• Inspects operating machines for conformity to standards.
• Suggests new methods to reduce costs and improve labor and material utilization.
• Discusses equipment needs with design engineers.
• Requests tools and supplies and obtains quotes.
• Ensures emission control systems comply with regulations.
• Trains workers on policies and procedures.
• Resolves maintenance problems with management and quality control.
• Contributes to cost control alongside department budgets.
• Manages all employees in area to prevent abuse and damage; oversees routine checks.
• Monitors training and suggests procedural improvements.
• Participates in Lean initiatives affecting production and quality.
• Supervises and motivates staff to achieve maintenance goals.
• Ensures plant safety and policy compliance; conducts disciplinary actions as needed.
