Steel Dynamics, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance activities ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and facilities.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate preventive work, and drive continuous improvement with a strong safety culture. Responsibilities include directing utilities maintenance, implementing preventive programs with engineering, and controlling costs while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years maintenance experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong writing skills for internal/external customers.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Advanced problem-solving and mathematical skills.
• Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees scheduled repairs and maintenance to support production.
• Coordinates workers fabricating or modifying equipment.
• Directs maintenance on utility systems to ensure continuous operations.
• Implements preventive maintenance with engineering staff.
• Inspects machines for adherence to standards.
• Implements methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Communicates equipment needs with design engineers.
• Requests tools and quotes for projects.
• Ensures emissions controls and regulatory documentation are followed.
• Trains and indoctrinates workers on policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with management to resolve maintenance issues.
