Job summary

BandD Foods in Boise, Idaho seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of ~15 technicians in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. You will drive reliability, coach staff, and partner with operations to keep production safe and efficient.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, preventive maintenance, and a focus on continuous improvement, with GMP/HACCP/OSHA compliance and meaningful mentorship.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience, including supervision.
• Experience in food manufacturing or another high-speed environment.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation.
• Knowledge of conveyors, pumps, motors, valves, compressors and packaging equipment.
• Experience using a CMMS to manage maintenance work orders and equipment history.
• Strong root cause analysis and continuous improvement skills.
• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, USDA, and OSHA requirements.
• Excellent leadership and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts.
• Promote a safety-focused culture with accountability and teamwork.
• Coordinate daily maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize downtime.
• Partner with Production, Quality, and Sanitation to meet goals with quality.
• Drive preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement actions.
• Audit maintenance procedures to improve reliability.
• Ensure work orders and PM activities are documented in the CMMS.
• Train and mentor staff on equipment operation and maintenance practices.
