Job summary

Ascension Commercial Real Estate LLC in Houston is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and oversee the integrity, upkeep, and safety of our apartment community. You will coordinate repairs, make-ready, preventative maintenance, and minor construction projects, ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for residents and staff.

Candidates should have strong plumbing/electrical knowledge, HVAC certification, and at least three years of apartment maintenance experience,

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Three years' experience in apartment maintenance.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• HVAC Certification.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, perform, and assign maintenance tasks to the team, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, lighting, and boiler systems.
• Communicate assignments to the maintenance team, monitor progress, and provide coaching and guidance.
• Ensure team has materials, tools, and safety equipment to complete tasks effectively and safely.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety processes.

We are taking over a property on September 1st in North Houston close to Ella and Rankin

Join our team as a Maintenance Supervisor and lead our maintenance team in ensuring the physical integrity, general upkeep, and safety of our apartment community. You will coordinate and direct maintenance activities, including repairs, apartment make-ready, preventative maintenance, and construction/rehabilitation projects. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. If you have strong knowledge of apartment maintenance, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality, to be a key member of our team!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, perform, and assign maintenance team to perform minor and routine maintenance and repairs, including:
  • Electrical and plumbing (including water lines)
  • A/C and heating systems
  • Appliances
  • Interior/exterior lights
  • Boiler, gas, and electric systems
  • Pool areas and equipment
• Communicate assignments to the maintenance team, monitor progress, and provide coaching and advice.
• Ensure maintenance team members have complete instructions, supplies, tools, and safety equipment to complete tasks properly and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all safety processes are followed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.

Three years' experience in apartment maintenance.

Supervisory experience preferred.

HVAC Certification.

Valid driver’s license required.
