The Plumbing Supervisor supervises and performs highly advanced supervisory maintenance and construction work. Responsibilities include supervising and training staff responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems, installing fixtures, routine and preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs. The role involves estimating parts, inspecting work, and ensuring compliance with safety and code standards. The supervisor also participates in procurement, manages work schedules, and may participate in disaster response or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activities.
Current Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations Journeyman Plumbing License or ability to obtain within 90 days. Valid Texas driver license or equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
Five years of plumbing experience with three years supervising, or seven years of plumbing experience with four years supervising, plus vocational training in a trade.
Applicants must pass background checks, drug screens, and registry checks. Males aged 18-25 must register with the Selective Service. All applicants must be at least 18 years old, with specific age requirements for certain facilities. Flexibility in work hours, overtime, and extended hours may be required.
