Job summary

Coast Property Management in Milwaukie, OR is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead the apartment maintenance team, supervise repairs, and keep make-ready processes on schedule. You’ll take pride in quality work and motivate the crew on even the busiest days.

This role requires a strong background in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and building systems, plus the ability to interpret written and verbal instructions and operate safely with standards such as the Oregon

Qualifications

• Supervisory responsibilities in the role.
• High School education or equivalent.
• Able to apply written, verbal, or diagram instructions.
• Experience leading maintenance teams is a plus.
• Familiar with electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Familiar with power, water, and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and appliances.
• General knowledge about building equipment.
• Able to evaluate deficiencies or troubleshoot faulty parts.
• Own and maintain your own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to communicate effectively with team members and contractors.

• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
• Previous experience leading maintenance teams a plus
• Familiar with electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
• Familiar with power, water, and gas turnoffs, clean‑out traps, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances
• General knowledge about building equipment
• Able to evaluate deficiencies such as excessive wear or troubleshoot faulty parts
• Own and maintain your own tools
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive
• Must have reliable transportation
• Able to speak to and maintain good working relations with other team members and any contract laborers working on the property
