An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep of over 250 housing units. This role involves planning, organizing, and supervising maintenance activities, ensuring quality control, and complying with all relevant regulations. A New Hire Signing Bonus of $1,000 is offered for this position.
To be awarded a signing bonus, a successful candidate must sign an OCHA New Hire Signing Bonus Agreement prior to the first day of employment. Signing bonuses will be awarded in 2 equal $500 payments. The first payment will be made once the employee has completed one full 2 week pay period. The second payment will be made upon successful completion of the employee's Six Month Introductory Period.
SCOPE: Plan, organize and supervise the maintenance and rehabilitation of over 250 housing units. Supervisor must maintain quality control of interior and exterior spaces, in order to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing environments. Perform maintenance work necessary for the upkeep and operation of building(s), grounds, and equipment.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Directly responsible to the Housing Manager with accountability to the Regional Property Manager I.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS: Office and field environment. Possible exposure to inclement weather, dusty, noisy and dirty conditions, noxious fumes, paints and solvents, unsanitary conditions and mechanical hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent, with additional business and/or vocational training. A minimum of six years of experience in maintenance and/or construction and supervisory experience. The ability to understand construction drawings and blueprints and communicate technical information clearly and concisely either through verbal and/or written direction. Skilled in working with a wide cross-section of individuals including Authority personnel, tenants, contractors, etc., and the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision. Willingness to comply with Authority policies. Possession of a valid Oklahoma Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
Will be required to perform on-call, emergency maintenance, as scheduled by the Central Office, which can include working after-hours, during weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL: Required to lift, raise or lower 50 pounds. Ability to prepare, read and understand work orders, blueprints, construction specifications, computer-generated documents, and forms.
This position is eligible to telework. Individual approval is subject to Personnel Policy requirements.
