Job summary

Conifer Realty in Mays Landing, NJ seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for affordable housing. The role offers $27.00–$28.00 per hour, full-time hours, Monday–Friday with on-call rotation.

You’ll lead a maintenance team to keep communities safe, compliant, and thriving, with HVAC certification and strong hands-on maintenance experience. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing work orders, preventive maintenance, and budgets while ensuring resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience, including team supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• Reliable transportation and ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call emergencies.
• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold Conifer’s quality and safety standards.
• Manage work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
• Assist with repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks when needed.
