Job summary

Conifer Realty in Rochester, NY is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team across affordable housing communities. You’ll supervise repairs, ensure safety, and drive quality, resident satisfaction, and efficient operations.

The role requires 5+ years of residential maintenance and HVAC certification, plus skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and safety compliance. On-call rotation and a 40-hour week, with salary of $24.00–$25.00.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience, including team supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call emergencies.
• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold Conifer's quality and safety standards.
• Manage work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules
• Coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
• Assist with repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks when needed.
